The On-the-Job Training Programme (OJT) is a pre-employment programme which offers participants between the ages of 16-35 an induction into the world of work and focuses on their acquisition of practical occupational skills and experience within organizations. The main objective of 'on-the-job training' is to acquaint the students formally to a real life work place environment. ... This enables students to understand and respond better to the market demand. We have been sending candidates to the interview table for last 6 years. But in the past few years we have noticed is that the students are not properly ready to face the interview there is a gap. In order to reduce that gap we have thought of the concept of OJT. We have already started OJT in many of our trainings and we have found very good placement statistics this year On-the-job training helps to produce a stronger workforce and gives employers a greater understanding of their staff's skills base. The more a company invests in its employees through training, the greater the chance of retaining them, as they feel valued and is more aware of the opportunities in moving up the ladder.
